Things Aint Always What They Seem

|
Recently I was at an event with some friends. As the event was winding down me & my peoples started speaking on male/female dynamics (what else do we speak about).

I have a homegirl who is dating/seeing.playing with this guy. Now this dude as far as I can tell is head over heels for shorty, I mean why not my homegirl is very attractive, some say sexy and others say BAD. He calls her to see how she's doing, texts her in the morning and takes her out every chance he can.

Now every story has two sides. Unfortunately for dude she is not even attracted to him. There is just no spark which is understandable. No one faults her for that. Now every dude has been in the situation where you like a girl but she is not feeling you. Also we have been in the situation where we like a girl and you think she feels the same. This is this dudes sad situation. Now hearing her tell her side you can tell she likes him just not like that.

So came the time for the advice. She needs to let him down and still keep him as a friend. Now me & my boys told her just be real with this dude, tell him you guys are cool and you like his company but it wont go past that. He is going to be hurt but its better he know now instead of wasting his cash on a girl who he will never get a crack at. Its also better than handling it like our other female friend, & I quote "SCRAM you LAME". Needless to say he would be damaged.

Its hard for her cuz my homegirl is generally a nice girl but like I told her he is gonna probably cry. This is the way the conversation will go:
Boy: Hey babes! (excited)
Girl: Hey you
Boy: How was work? (interested)
Girl: It was good. I gotta talk to you.
Boy: Sure (worried)
Girl: I feel we better off as friends. I like you don't get me wrong but I'm just not attracted to you like that. Hope were still cool?
Boy: Oh (devastated). I was feeling the same way (lying). Yea were still cool (fronting)
Girl: Alright (oblivious to his true intentions)

It might sound hilarious and we had a great time laughing about this situation but sadly all men go thorough this and we just need you ladies to be honest. Were all grown we can handle if you don't like us or not attracted to us. Do you understand how many women are out there? Do you understand the next chick that even looks at us we forget bout the last one.

Hopefully now she Mans Up and makes the call... I can always use another good laugh

Hilarious!

But really, he'll be fine (over time), I guess.

I believe this is simply another prime example of a failure to communicate. What else could explain it?

Assuming, I'm right. The multi-billion dollar question becomes: What can we take away from this situation to avoid this problem, or something similar, in our own lives?

My 2 cents.

true he will be fine over time

but the longer she takes the longer he delves deeper into her

confidence is key on the part of both parties
